Queensland Updates Its Occupation Lists and Eligibility Criteria

Queensland Skilled Profession Lists are now ready. Prior to providing your EOI, review Business and Skilled Migration Queensland’s (BSMQ) latest QSOL’s to assure your profession is on the related lists, and you satisfy the current criteria. A Latest E.O.I with a new E.O.I number needs to be submitted from now. Previous and/or refreshed EOI’s will not be considered.

Eligibility Criteria for ‘Working in Queensland’:

Subclass 190 Visa - need to have six months of work experience (at least 35 hours per week) in Queensland state and a one-year job offer.

Subclass 489 Visa - need to have three months staying and work experience (at least 35 hours per week)  Quickly before appealing in Queensland Regional area and a one-year job offer.

Essential Information

BSMQ will open up subclass 489 processing for a short period only – till mid-Aug 2019, to provide sufficient time to process appeals. It is due to Home Affairs Department declaring that the closing date of nomination by Territories and States for the subclass 489 visa as being 10 Sept 2019 to permit time for the lodgement of last subclass 489 visa applications.

Execution of the latest Regional Work (Provisional) (subclass 491) visa will take place on 16 Nov 2019. Subclass 489 appellants will receive preference processing during this time and the time to obtain an invitation for the subclass 190 may take more than expected.

If you are suitable for the subclass 489 visa, it is advised to submit your E.O.I as soon as feasible, and have all your supportive papers need to provide as soon as you obtain the invitation from B.S.M.Q.

The 489 subclass– Small Business Owner Program is stopped until new notice issued.
