The United States House won another immigration battle against President Trump on Tuesday when the Democrat-led House voted in favor of a new pathway to citizenship for Dreamers. Legislation that would see about 2.5 million immigrants get another chance at citizenship, as against the President's move to stop their legal status, was passed on Tuesday on 237-187 counts with seven Republicans also voting in favor. Dreamers, young undocumented immigrants who were brought into the US illegally as children, as well as immigrants from countries battling violence or natural disaster, with Temporary Protected Status, would get a new legal pathway to citizenship as a result of the bill passed. The bill will, however, have to make it through a Republican-led Senate with the very faint chance of making it through as the Republicans will not want to challenge Trump over signature matters as well as many seeing the bill as a way of protecting people who breached the law.
