New invitations have been issued by the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) for the application of nominees for permanent residency in Canada in the draw which was held on 25th April.
The program, also known as MPNP, permits a certain number of economic immigration candidates to be nominated annually through various streams which are designed to check needs in the provincial Labour market.
299 candidates were invited from three streams: 208 from the skilled workers in Manitoba, 66 from skilled workers overseas and 25 from international education to the draw on 25th April.
How It Works
According to the MPNP, a Strategic Recruitment Initiative was used to invite candidates in the Skilled Workers Overseas stream directly. The overseas recruitment missions which are led by MPNP were included in these initiatives.
The Immigration candidate must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI)
before he/she is considered for nomination for permanent residence in Canada
. Also, more details like work experience, connections to Manitoba, educational information, proficiency in French or English, amongst others.
Scores are issued to profiles considered eligible. A Letter of Advice for application for provincial nomination is issued to candidates with the highest scores.
During the draw held on 25th April, the lowest drawn score for candidates under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams was 510 and 632 respectively.
The stream, Skilled workers in Manitoba, is open to international students graduates and temporary foreign workers who are eligible and are working currently in Manitoba. Also, a Manitoba employer must have offered them permanent jobs.
According to MPNP, candidates under the Skilled workers in Manitoba stream were selected in a draw held on 25th April. Those selected were ones who specified that they are licensed to work in the province, as well as have a regulated occupation.
However, 3,901 total invitations were issued by MPNP on 25th April 2019 through all the streams.
