Indians Secured Highest Number of UK Work Visas Than All Nations Combined

More than 50 percent of Indian graduates from the universities of the UK earn above-average salaries, as per the study by Universities UK International.

The study titled Graduate Outcomes of Indians Report surveyed higher than 16,000 UK graduates, in those 988 are Indian. Below the UK-India Education Research Initiative (U.K.I.E.R.I), individuals who graduated within two and seven years ago were questioned about their lives following university.

In this report, 58 UK universities associated, showed principally positive outcomes for Indians, as 99% of participated workers ended up in skilled work, several of them had managerial duties.

In fact, Indians are 23% more suitable to have managerial jobs than different nationalities, states the study attended in association with British Council India and published on 4 September 2019.

Statistics of the Report

Indians rank the most leading place when it arrives in getting UK tier 2 visas, which are the official permits for the skilled workers. In the previous year, above 56,000 Indians have been given with UK tier 2 visas. It has also been seen a 42% rise in students from India to the UK in the previous year, with 19,750 Indian students were studying in the UK in 2017-18.

There were 21,881 UK tier 4 student visas granted to Indians among the fastest-growing students in the UK.

A maximum of 51% of Indian respondents says that they earn higher or above the average, while 90% of women also says the same. For 80% who received a degree from the Universities of the UK helped them to obtain their jobs.

62% of graduates from India returned home to work, while 16% obtained jobs in the UK.

The best industry for work was IT, where 13.8% of Indians work, related to the global median of 6.3%. It was attended by the education which equals to 10% and manufacturing which equals to 9.2%.

The UKIERI global mobility program will assist 200 UK students to study in India in the following year.
