An Expression of Interest (EOI) draw held on Thursday, June 20 saw 450 immigration candidates invited to apply for Manitoba's nomination for permanent residence in Canada.
Candidates in International Education streams, Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas are the beneficiaries of the Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs). Manitoba gets to nominate immigration candidates who have skills needed in the province as well as the ability to settle in quickly for Canadian permanent residence through these three streams as components of Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).
International Education Stream got 26 invitations, followed by Skilled Workers in Manitoba's 101 and finally, 323 goes to Skilled Workers Overseas, bringing the number of invitations issued to skilled workers in 2019 to 4,979.
Of the total 450 invitations, 133 went to Express Entry candidates. The candidates invited are those who have experience in an occupation on Manitoba's In-Demand Occupations List.
600 points are added to the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of all Express Entry candidates who get provincial nomination hence an imminent invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence.
Besides Express Entry candidates, other Skilled workers overseas who were invited also meet the following requirements:
Direct invitations were issued to 35 skilled workers via a Strategic Recruitment Initiatives of MPNP.
The minimum scores for the June 20 draw are 704, 599 and 475 for Strategic Recruitment Initiative candidates, Skilled Workers Overseas and Skilled Workers in Manitoba respectively.
